February, 2001. Linux Terminal Server Project by Paul Nelson and Eric Harrison.
Paul Nelson and I have been working on building a Linux "terminal server appliance" distribution. Essentially we are taking Red Hat 7.0, the Linux Terminal Server Project, and mashing the two together in a way that we think the average school tech could implement.

Riverdale School District has been testing Linux-based terminals for a couple of months now. I believe they currently have 20 in production use.

Cooper is a Unix System Administrator for Wah Chang in Albany, Oregon. He has just registered the domain name, linux-enterprise.net and installed an internet server using in the cable modem in his home. He will describe this process.

GStreamer is a project aimed at developers (it's a support library). As a result, the content applicable to many of the attendees could be a bit short. It'll include some examples of applications that can be built, and probably some form of Q&A.
